WP_20170616_08_43_15_Pro (2).jpg

Dyes made from plant and other natural sources can produce a wide variety of colours and can be used with wool, other animal fibres (including fur, feathers, cashmere and angora),  and silk

Dyeing with natural sources can be a long and complex process, often involving several steps and mordenting with chemicals.

This workshop will introduce you to natural dyeing and we will dye Bluefaced Leicester yarn produced by West Yorkshire spinners.

You will finish the day with 100g hanks of dyed yarn plus an natural  dye kit so that you can have more adventures with colour at home.

All materials will be provided but you are advised to wear old cloths and bring rubber gloves.

£60 per person

If you book  two or more workshops during the Surrey Artists Open Studios period between 4th June and 13th June you will receive a £15 discount on the second or subsequent workshop.
